On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine, an ecumenical peace prayer will take place in the Frankenberg Church on the eve of the memorial day, Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. after the peace ringing.
This war has brought endless suffering to millions of families who mourn loved ones, lost their homes and suffered great damage to their bodies and souls and look to the future with fear. Together we would like to pray for comfort and hope for these people and for all people who fear for peace here too. At the same time, this prayer for peace is a sign against forgetting violence and war – in Europe and throughout the world. The “Voice of Ukraine” choir will perform a piece during the service.
