In the fall, the mood among the population changed, and fears about energy prices and inflation led to a significant drop in donations. Goslar celebrated its 1100th anniversary in 2022. As part of the numerous 1100 year celebrations in Goslar, one of our volunteers had the great idea of using the city anniversary as an opportunity to pack food packages for Ukraine.
This is how the campaign “1100 packages for Ukraine” was launched. Many Goslar citizens, but also school classes and groups of seniors packed packages with groceries, candles, batteries and hygiene items, the packages were given a sticker and transported to the Ukraine. In the meantime we have sent 850 packages, we hope that we will reach our target of 1100 packages in the next few months.
